It is great to be home! I think???? ;) Jet lag coming back home was worse than travelling over to France and Italy.
Well, I could not let Outdoor Wednesday pass by, without at least a quick post. So I pondered what to share and decided on The estate of Versailles. The palace and the gardens of Versailles are counted among the most prestigious of the world's heritage sites and is located approx. 45 mins outside of Paris by train. King Louis XIII's former hunting lodge was transformed and enlarged by his Son Louis XIV, who installed his court and government there.
This was the line we were in to get into Versailles, after we already stood in line to get tickets. You can preregister, but we were not sure when we would be able to go. My recommendation would be to go in June or September. This was way to busy to really get to enjoy this magnificent place.
This was looking out one of the windows of the palace onto the gardens. We must have been the busy que inside, outside does not look crowded at all.
All the flowers look pretty familiar to me? How about you? It just goes to show you that everything is in the presentation of things!!
I could not pass up this close up of the bee :)
Oh these gardens are just spectacular!!! I hope you enjoyed a "little" tour of the gardens at Versailles. I still have more photos to share later of the fountains, topiaries, statues etc......
Now, why don't you go visit our spectacular host Susan and other participants at asoutherdaydreamer.blogspot.com or click button on sidebar.
Au revoir for now! Come back and visit real soon.

Oh how I love to travel. I went on my first trip overseas last month. I'm still posting about it. Your pictures are wonderful and such memories. My little sis went to Versailles last month and loved it. I understand about coming home, though because it takes awhile to recover from all the beauty. Thanks for sharing. Mumzie :)
